Ocean Hackathon®: registrations are now open!

- As of Monday, September 2, 2019, registrations for the 8 local editions of Ocean Hackathon® are open.
To register, it's easy:

- Click on the city in which you want to spend the Ocean Hackathon® weekend
- Select the challenges you want to think about as a team or make your skills available to the challenge leaders
- For the Brest edition, the registration fee is 15€.

The Brest challenge leaders are looking for team members by:
- Digital: programming, machine learning, big data, data processing, augmented reality, 3D, GIS;
- Sea, maritime, science: fishing, oceanography, foreshore specialist, geography, meteorology, satellite imagery, port trades, maritime routing, blockchain, naval architecture, urban planning;
- Web and graphics: design, web development, graphics, editing, game script;
- Mediation: pedagogy, teaching;
- FabLab: Arduino, DIY;
- Business model, legal expertise,
- Etc.
21 challenges in Brest and as many different themes
In Brest, participants will be able to join one of the 21 challenge leaders and form as many motivated and creative teams.
The projects cover a wide range of subjects: participatory science, environmental protection awareness, discovery of the foreshore, fishing on foot, boating, marine mapping, impacts of underwater magnetic fields, traceability of data from the fishing industry, combating illegal sales of species, plastic pollution in particular, visualization of time series of data or processing of heterogeneous data, etc.
The objective is to develop in 48 hours a demonstrator, i.e., depending on the challenge: a module, an application, a web interface, a digital platform, a map, a game or a model.
