Ocean Hackathon®: Cedre becomes the 5th national ambassador

Following the launch of the call for challenges, Cedre signed its commitment as an Ocean Hackathon® ambassador to provide its support and expertise in marine pollution.

It thus joins the four founding partners of the Ocean Hackathon®:

• Ifremer (French Research Institute for the Exploitation of the Sea),
• The Shom (Navy Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service),
• The French Maritime Cluster and
• The French Agency for Biodiversity.

The Director, Mr Stéphane Doll, signed Cedre's commitment at its premises, in the presence of Mr Michel Gourtay, Vice-President of Brest Metropole in charge of the economy and President of the Brest-Iroise Technopole, representing Campus mondial de la mer, the leader of Ocean Hackathon®.

As an expert in accidental water pollution, Cedre has been active in France and abroad for nearly 40 years. Its multidisciplinary team consists of 50 technicians, engineers and doctors.
Cedre's mission is to provide advice and expertise to those responsible for the management of accidental pollution. This mission covers both marine and inland waters and concerns all types of pollutants (hydrocarbons, chemicals, marine macro-waste and microplastics, etc.). Cedre capitalises on knowledge and constantly develops tools to fulfil its various missions. Cedre's services and expertise can be provided to French and foreign authorities as well as to private structures.
