      • 24th French Congress of Mechanics 2019
      • Theme: Mechanics and the sea, scientific and technological issues.

The French Congress of Mechanics is a scientific event of reference of the French Association of Mechanics (AFM) under the aegis of the Thematic and Transverse Group of the AUM (University Activities in Mechanics). It is held every two years in a different city.

Its vocation is to bring together all actors in research and innovation, both academic and industrial, in order to promote exchanges and scientific and technological advances around the issues and challenges of tomorrow's society.

The 24th edition of the CFM will take place from 26 to 30 August 2019 in Brest, in the premises of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Brest (UBO). It is organised by the Institut de Recherche Dupuy de Lôme (IRDL, UMR CNRS 6027) in partnership with all the mechanical engineering players in Brittany, the city of Brest, the Finistère department and the Brittany region.
This next edition will aim to give a spotlight on the theme "Mechanics and Marine Engineering: Scientific and Technological Challenges" which is concerned with a very wide range of the fields of Mechanics covered during the Congress. In addition, plenary or semi-plenary conferences and a number of events (e.g., mini-symposium, sessions...) will focus on this theme.
The organizers of the CFM 2019 will therefore be happy to welcome you in large numbers, we hope, to this next edition. Kenavo Emberr !
